Modern Slavery Statement

Kelly & Co’s® Australia
Committed to Ethical, Transparent, and Responsible Practices

At Kelly & Co’s®, we believe that doing good goes beyond our products—it’s about how we treat people, animals, and the planet. We are committed to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our business or our supply chains.

1. About Kelly & Co’s®

Kelly & Co’s® is a proudly Australian-operated company offering premium freeze-dried pet food and treats. With deep roots in ethical sourcing and quality manufacturing, we work with trusted partners around the world to bring natural, functional nutrition to Australian pets. Our operations span procurement, production, warehousing, and direct-to-consumer e-commerce sales through our Australian platform.

2. Our Commitment to Combating Modern Slavery

Modern slavery is a violation of basic human rights and includes practices such as forced labour, debt bondage, child labour, and human trafficking. We stand firmly against all forms of modern slavery and are committed to taking proactive steps to prevent it in our business and supply networks.

Kelly & Co’s® supports and complies with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) and aligns our actions with the values outlined in the Australian Government’s guidance on modern slavery reporting.

3. Our Supply Chain & Risk Areas

Our supply chain includes ingredient suppliers, contract manufacturers, packaging providers, and logistics partners in Australia and overseas. We primarily source ingredients and manufacturing from facilities in countries where labour laws are strictly enforced and monitored.

Despite this, we recognise that some regions and sectors—such as raw agricultural supply chains—may carry a higher risk of modern slavery. That’s why we have implemented strict vetting procedures and continue to review and engage with suppliers on responsible practices.

4. Our Actions

To mitigate the risk of modern slavery, we have taken the following steps:

  • Conducted supplier due diligence and risk assessments
  • Included modern slavery compliance clauses in new supplier agreements
  • Committed to working only with suppliers that adhere to fair labour practices
  • Reviewed internal policies to support responsible procurement and ethical sourcing
  • Trained our key staff on recognising and reporting modern slavery risks

5. Ongoing Improvement & Accountability

We recognise that tackling modern slavery is a continuous journey. Kelly & Co’s® is committed to:

  • Regularly reviewing and updating our supply chain risk assessments
  • Strengthening our supplier audit procedures
  • Reporting transparently in our future Modern Slavery Statements
  • Collaborating with industry partners to raise awareness and promote shared standards

6. Reporting Concerns

If any employee, partner, or stakeholder suspects unethical or unlawful labour practices in our operations or supply chain, we strongly encourage them to report concerns confidentially to our compliance team via [compliance@kellyandcos.com.au].

7. Approval & Review

This statement was approved by the Board of Directors of Kelly & Companion Co. Pty Ltd on [Insert Approval Date] and will be reviewed and updated annually in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth).
